McHenry County EDC Certified Sites Program
McHenry County Economic Development Corporation, a not-for-profit public-private partnership, has created this “Certified Sites” website. The goal of this program is to assist those companies and individuals who are searching for an industrial, commercial or office land or building site. It is designed to facilitate “due diligence” on a site, saving end-users time and ultimately money.
Sites are submitted by municipalities who provide the data which may include: Ownership information, ALTA Survey, Topographical Survey, Phase 1 Environmental Assessment, Utility Survey and Capacity Access, Zoning, Predefined accepted uses. For buildings, information may include square footage, floor plans, parking lot capacity, ceiling height, dock information, and crane tonnage. Additional information may also be provided regarding demographics, community amenities, etc. with direct contact information to the submitting municipality.
In addition to these “Gold” sites, additional properties are identified as “Bronze” and include zoning, utility, survey and ownership information.
Gold and Bronze will be identified on the maps with color coding, property titles will include the words gold or bronze site.
